How we rate casinos

Every casino on this site carries a score out of five. This page explains exactly how that number is produced, what it is based on, and what it deliberately does not tell you.

Five categories, one score

We score each casino in five areas: bonuses, games, payments, support and mobile. Each area gets its own mark out of five, and all five are shown on the review page so you can see where a score comes from rather than taking a single figure on trust.

The overall rating is the plain average of those five marks, rounded to one decimal place. No category is weighted more heavily than another, and there is no hidden adjustment on top. A script in our build checks this on every deploy, so the headline number can never drift away from the marks beneath it.

What each category looks at

Bonuses: the size of the welcome offer matters less than its wagering requirement, the time limit to clear it, and whether the terms are stated plainly or buried. A large bonus with 60x wagering scores below a modest one you can realistically clear.

Games: how many titles are available, how many studios supply them, and whether the range covers slots, tables and live dealer rather than one category padded out. Payments: the deposit and withdrawal methods offered, the stated withdrawal time, and the minimum deposit. Support: which channels exist, whether live chat is staffed around the clock, and the languages covered. Mobile: whether the site works properly in a phone browser, since most players never install an app.

Where the facts come from

The factual details in a review — licence, bonus terms, payment methods, currencies, withdrawal times, game counts — are taken from what the operator publishes: its own terms and conditions, its payments and banking pages, and the public registers of the regulators it names.

Operators change these without notice. Each review shows the date it was last checked, and that date is what it says it is: the day someone went back through the page, not the day the site was last deployed. If a figure here disagrees with the operator's own page, the operator's page is right and ours is stale — tell us and we will fix it.

What the score is not

It is not a player rating. We do not collect reviews from visitors, so no number on this site claims to represent what thousands of players think. The score is the opinion of the people who write this site, formed from the criteria above.

It is also not a promise. A high score means a casino compared well on those five measures at the time we looked. It cannot tell you that your withdrawal will arrive on time, that support will resolve your dispute, or that gambling there will go well for you. No review site can tell you that.

How this site makes money

Links to casinos on this site are affiliate links. If you open an account through one, we may be paid a commission by the operator. It costs you nothing, and it is how the site is funded.

You should know that when reading any review here, including ours. If something on this page and something in a review appear to contradict each other, write to us and say so — the contact address is in the footer.
